Wide Wednesday
Slept well last night......woke to grey skies and rain, which had scuppered our plans for a trip with friends today, postponed until next week all being well.
Instead we went into town, hub drove, but I wanted the exercise, so walked instead. Hub had got his paper and a loaf by the time we met up. Hub popped into the opticians to see if his new glasses had arrived......they had, they were fitted and Re now being modelled. Afterwards, we headed to Costa for our morning coffee....hub had toast too.
We sat observing the comings & goings, amazing how many people walked in and passed, even stood beside the hand sanitiser dispenser but didnt use it!!!! I actually said to one of the girls who works there they need to re-position it :-/ needless to say if anyone caught my eye they got a glare!!!!! Despite this, we are the lowest of the 10 areas in Gtr Manchester in terms of new cases per 100k at 9. Hopefully the restrictions will be relaxed soon for our area.
Hub drove home by which time it was just starting to rain again. I had my waterproof jacket on so stuck to my guns and walked home too :-) Didnt get too wet thankfully.
The afternoon at home flew by, various things on my ipad, then in the kitchen.......cooked a piece of roast ham, now got the base of a soup yet to be finished, then made four individual blackberry & apple crumbles.
Todays blip is a wide Wednesday entry..... taken at Pennington Flash....it looks like a mono but isn't. A reflection of todays grey weather .
Dinner this evening was said roast ham, fried egg, tomoatoes, asparagus & peas, followed by a crumble with plain yogurt.
Hopefully there is something on tv tonight worth watching?!
Stay safe all
