Damsons!

I used to detest damsons at school, likewise greengages and gooseberries, but it must have been the way they cooked them (or I just didn't like cooked fruit).  But our kind neighbour has just converted me back to loving damsons and greengages, at least.  She has two trees in her small garden that are bowed down with the weight of the fruit, and today we helped her out with the damsons, picking several kilos in about 20 minutes.

Mrs B has spent the time since bringing home this basket filling jars with jam.  ¡Delicioso! as they might (or might not) say in Spanish . . .
