Bird Pant

We know that dogs pant to keep cool when they're hot or dehydrated.  The same thing must happen to birds.  Dogs hang out their tongues when they pant and if you look closely, you can see this Gila woodpecker doing the same.  It was shady when I took the picture and I had to lighten it up. So, it may look like she's stupid by sitting in the sun, but even birds aren't that stupid when given a choice.

No rain today but maybe on Saturday.  Saturday (15th) is Reno brother's birthday.  Since he was born exactly a week before I turned one, we'll be the same age for a week.  We're actually more like twins, but I'll take the 51 weeks!
