Brigsteer Woods

This is one of my favourite places. I have been coming here for 20yrs now with Mrs Wild who introduced me to this wonderful place. It is Brigsteer woods nr Kendal on the edge of the Lake District national park. It is well known for its spring show of wild daffodils and you have to get the timing just right to see them at the very best. Today was such a day. We didn't just go to see the daffs we also took a walk along Scout Scar that has just the most superb views across the southern aspect of the national park. I would have loved to have posted a mountain blip but it was always my intention to do the daffs. Maybe we should be allowed one bonus blip for seven consequetive posts?

Finished off today with tea at my Mum's which for once was really good and Robin Hood is back on BBC1. Just finishing off with my blip and a beer and not forgeting to put forward the clocks. British Summer time starts tomorrow.

Goodnight all
