Nature Diary... A New Burst of Life

I was delighted this morning to see my trusty Little Mouse Crown cactus had produced yet another flower having covered itself in flowers during June this year (see my June photos). This is the first time in all the years I’ve had this lovely cactus that it’s produced a bloom this late in the year. Maybe the heatwave has had something to do with it.
Next to it is one of my newest little cacti which for its first summer with me has delighted me by producing three huge beautiful white flowers. This photo shows shows what’s left of the last of the three flowers and it looks like maybe it’s growing into a tiny new plant. How lovely that would be!
