SUP

Another terribly hot day. We are having our parquet floor restored tomorrow so yesterday and today were spent pulling up the carpet in the hall and shifting furniture in readiness. Not the kind of jobs you want to be doing in 33 degree heat!! Tonight I had a little light relief as I joined a group of ladies And an instructor for a little SUP on the Basingstoke Canal from Crookham Wharf. It was last summer since I was on a board and although I’m fairly confident getting on was tricky and I slid into the water so had a rather soggy time! The water was warm at least so I’d didn’t mind too much. We paddled along and under a couple of very low bridges before turning back. Home again for a quick takeaway and the final few moves (including the baby grand piano!) and there was still time to sit outside before bed. Thunder in the distance might give us a break from the heat: I feel another disturbed night coming on...
