Another cladonia
I was going to blip the next in my history of the parish in 50 images today - drovers' trails - but as it happens I came across this tiny cladonia growing on the soil among the heather on the common. I doubt whether I'd be able to find it again (unlike the drovers' trails) so its become today's blip. I know next to nothing about cladonia's (other than that they are a type of lichen) and there are lots of them so making an identification is quite difficult. I blipped cladnonia fimbriata recently but this one is different in that margins of the cup are split into a crown like shape. My best guess is that this is cladonia chlorophaea maybe someone can correct me.
