7.00pm after a hot afternoon. 32C.

32C this afternoon. And humid.
Still air. Hardly a breath of wind.
My two friends came for tea and cake and we sat at the patio table under the umbrella.
Just a stirring of a breeze now at 7.00pm as Stephen and I sit out here after tea.
The promised rain did not materialise last evening even though the sky was threateningly dark.
I will have to water the flower beds again soon.
Just at the moment there’s a golden glow as the sun begins to slowly sink towards the horizon.
And the bees are busy in the lavender.
