Treats

This is a bit of leftover Strawberry Lemon Soufflé which is a palaver to make, so only suitable for special occasions. I used to make it for #1 daughter’s birthday and after she died I associated it too much with happy days to make it again for many years. Yesterday I made it for #3 daughter’s birthday meal which we had in the garden. Mr C and I sat at a separate table, but even so the children managed a few sneaky cuddles.

It was pouring this morning so they sat in the conservatory for breakfast, then after the children had fun climbing their special tree, and scaring their mum, they went home.

Mr C and I are strangely tired. We are thinking we are so Covid institutionalised that we are not used to company.
