Breakfast at an airport!
The blip shows the sign for the restaurant at Redhill Airport in Hangar 9. Had to take my car very early to a specialist garage nearby so we needed breakfast. Found this place by looking up on the government website re ‘Eat out to Help out’ . So an interesting venue and very nice breakfasts with excellent coffee. We saw a few small planes coming and going plus an air ambulance helicopter. Inside the hangar you could see several small planes which were having maintenance done on them plus and old 1930’s biplane, a Spartan Arrow.
Then to lunch with a friend and driving back it was 35/36C in the car.
Did not go to the allotment until after 7pm, still over 30C. Picked more courgettes and runner beans.
Decided to get rid of the petunias in the balcony containers. The purple ones( dark pink) still ok but the blue ( purple ) ones have nearly stopped flowering. All very straggly. Replaced with the pink trailing geraniums which should last until October, and will need less watering!
