Make Yourself At Home
Tess, Chris and I spent a fair part of the day traipsing through the corridors of the modern Norse hell that is IKEA (the Exexter incarnation).
In recent years I've come not to mind it as much but today saw something of a set back in my affections for the place. We'd gone there in search of sofas.
Tess & I had seen the model and colour we liked on our previous visit and today was just meant to confirm our decision and complete the purchase.
Typically, despite having both the 2 & 3 seaters we were after in the colour we wanted on display, when we went to order them we were told that they were, in fact, discontinued. Similarly, the different sofa that Chris had chosen for his flat was out of stock, despite the website saying it was available to order.
I did manage to buy some picture frames I was after and Chris bought some things he hadn't known he'd wanted (as you do) but it was a bit of a waste of a 90 mile round trip.
As it happened, when we got back, we popped into the store on the corner of the High Street, about 100 yards from our back door, and saw a sofa we much preferred, albeit a bit more expensive.
Anyway, as hell didn't offer up any photo opportunities here you have the fungus that has been making itself at home on the apple tree in the back garden.
