Flan for one?

Another fab day. Sven came to the island along with Dom so we spent the morning together playing in the sea then in a pedalo and our boat. Sven and I tied the boat to the pedalo so Joe and Dom did the hard work whilst we sunbathed.

After they left, the five of us spent the afternoon together in a nice quiet part of the island. Joe went to get us takeaway pizza for lunch... He ordered some drinks and a margherita (pizza), but was given a margarita (drink) and for some unknown reason, instead of correcting the waiter he accepted the drink! A kerfuffle later, we got our pizza and enjoyed it by the sea.

Heidi went snorkelling and insisted on doing a back flop from the boat like scuba divers, but was too scared to undock the boat. So another kerfuffle later, she did not back flop but rather just flopped into the sea. Moments later, I had read half of The Notebook and began to talk to everyone when I saw they were all ASLEEP. Us Dobbs will nap whenever, wherever.

We had an early dinner followed by a lot of flan on mum’s part. Naturally we were taking the mickey and I created as many flan based puns as I could. My final and best pun, flan while you can, received a great response from mum and a passing waiter who said ‘that was funny’. He hadn’t heard the joke. But I’ll accept the compliment.

After dinner Dom gave us a private tour of the lighthouse. We climbed what felt like a billion ladders to get to the top but the view was worth it. Once we clambered back down we sat in the lobby for a bit before us kids headed into Poreč with Dom to meet Sven for an evening drink and chat.
