Sunday ride

To get with 35 or more degrees in the Haught Fagne, a proper effort was made. I had to stop an awful lot to drink or just because I wanted to. We cycled mainly on to bicycle tracks converted old railway tracks. From Hombourg to Thrinister and later from Spa to Hockay and from Malmedy to Waimes. That sounds easy, but from Spa on we had to go over a mountain or we had a very long ascent. It is beautiful scenery, without any doubt, but I could wonder if I'm conditionally good enough to cycle here. Bert, who uses an e-bike blames the heatwave.

Tomorrow will be a treat. The first part we'll follow the rail trail to Bütgenbach and cycle to Monschau. Getting from there to the Vennbahn will, again, be a huge climb and then I'll fly back home:-).
