The therapeutic value of vegtables
At different times of the day autumn feels quite close, the mornings especially when its cool, sometimes chilly and there is that smell in the air. This was taken around mid-day and shows the progress of the sweet corn in Pollok Park, the ones growing outside seem to be doing better than the those in the greenhouse. The pinky red ‘ponytails’ reminded me of the long hair on those troll dolls, tiny miniature things with hair longer than their plastic bodies. I wish now I had blipped the occasional flowers on the okra plants, hopefully some new ones will be there later in the week. I spend a lot of time looking at these marvellous vegetables and I am intrigued especially by the squash plants. Interspersed between the veg are a few flowers including a profusion of sweet peas all of which have gorgeous delicate scent.
Later in the day I went for a run and managed just over 25 minutes of continuous running which felt good, even just five minutes having initially felt impossible especially since it was a warm afternoon.
