Silver Y Moth

Today this Silver Y moth (autographa gamma) visited our garden.  It is a moth that anyone can identify as it has its name written on its wings.

It was very hot in the sun today but there was a gentle cooling breeze making the shade temperature a very pleasant 23C.  As the Lake District is so busy at the moment we decided to stay at home and enjoy the garden.
