Jewels in the pond

Another warm sunny day spent in the garden.  Two water lily flowers are sparkling in the pond as they are growing in the splash zone from our little waterfall.

I decided to attack the dandelions in one of the beds at the end of the garden as they were beginning to take over.  To my surprise they were growing in beautiful soil - no wonder they were growing vigorously.  I am wondering if this walled area at the end was once used as a kitchen garden.  I have now planted the cleared area with herbs: mint, parsley, sage, thyme and rosemary.
