Wall

This lovely Wall butterfly (lasiommata megera) visited our lavender this morning.  I think the underwing is just as attractive as the upper surface which is the extra.  It is a type of butterfly that I was not used to seeing in Staffordshire so, as my book says they are less common further north, I was surprised to find it here in Cumbria.
