My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

I had a lot of meetings today. On the upside, I just had to listen for a lot of them. But still. 

The problem with working from home is that it is so much easier to fall asleep in meetings. I mean. With the camera off, you can just close your eyes and rest your head and the next thing you know...

...but no. I feel I must stay awake in case someone mentions my name. Or in case I snore and I've forgotten to go on "mute".

Jasper loves it when I am in meetings. He sits next to and rests his head on my hand and HE has no qualms about falling asleep. Actually he has been by my side pretty much all day today. He's a terribly sociable little chap, even if he's not conscious most of the time. 

In this, he reminds me of an acquaintance of Fat Pete's and mine, from back in the day. George the Postman liked to socialise but his job made this difficult for him. You'd buy him a pint in the pub and the next thing you knew, he would be peacefully asleep on the pile on coats in the corner. 

Maybe I should start taking naps during meetings. I'd much rather that, than miss out on pub-chat anyday.
