2020 Wednesday — Hibachi

Years ago we used to barbecue on a Hibachi. We would even pack our Hibachi into the “boot” (trunk) of our VW bug and take it to the beach with us and spend long summer afternoons and on into the evening at Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach (we affectionately called it “galuna).” Those are good good memories.

So, when we bought our Cayucos house in 2012, we looked for a hibachi but didn’t find one. So just this past weekend I did an Internet search and found that our local Ace Hardware store had the cast iron hibachis available. So today we stopped to purchase one.

Mr. Fun did the assembly and possibly tomorrow we’ll barbecue our evening meal.

About mid-morning today the breeze did some maturing and became full blown wind. So we ditched the idea of walking the two pups on the sandy shore (sand blowing in their eyes), and walked them at the Bayside Bluffs Park. The park was beautiful and fairly sheltered from the chilly wind.
