Backhouse Rossie Estate

A dull day with showers

In the morning we met our Daughter (from Edinburgh) at the Backhouse Rossie Estate, which reopened to the public today. It is in Fife near Auchtermuchty (a great Scottish name). They have lovely gardens and a nice woodland walk, passing beside a Covenanters Tomb from the 1660’s.

The photo is of my wife and our daughter. I do believe my wife is very colour coordinated with the flowers.

We had a simple lunch at the Cafe before heading off to Falkland Palace Gardens. Again, a lovely visit with another Woodland walk along the river before having Afternoon Tea in the Stables Cafe.

Throughout our visits everything was very Covid compliant and we felt very safe.
