A walk in the woods

We still had the hire car so we decided to have a walk at a nearby national park. Only half an hour and we were in D'Aquilar visitors centre for breakfast - they had a small display of animals, birds and fish indigenous to the area- interesting enough.
A short drive into the park lead us to bellbird grove- large carpark but empty apart from a hopeful bush turkey- think they are the 'pigeon' of Brisbane!
An hour's walk through the trees- long tender straight trunks and so smooth after shedding their barks (wouldn't it be great if we could do that?) I love the colours and textures of the bark lying at the base of these giants!
