Ready and waiting...

A groundsman’s pride and joy! And even though the grass was really dry, this pitch looked wonderful as we passed on our walk this afternoon and ready for Saturday’s match. I told him so when he came back to collect something from his hut, and he thanked me for my appreciation. No problem!

It was a good walk and we covered fresh ground. For me at least and most of it was off road, across fields, through woods and down lanes. It felt far longer though than the 10.6K my app tells me we did, which translates to only a mere 6+ miles. After a gruelling Pilates session this morning, I’m feeling (my age) tired this evening.
