Picnic lunch...

....in Lloyd Park after the morning service today. A small group but it was great to have that time together. Later there was cricket, football and badminton for those so inclined! Or just sit and enjoy! 

Matthew did his final thesis, too many years ago now,  on the role of the park in society (along those lines anyway) It was fascinating to read, how open spaces bring people together and is often where first experiences happen, where different groups come together without regard to age, status or any other issues that can separate.  watching other groups and activities in the park today, this is so true.
