A wet view of the castle

Today’s excitement was heading to the pottery painting shop to make a couple of presents for the big birthdays we’ve missed during lockdown. I did a wee trinket tray for my sister in law whilst Mr and Miss PHL painted a couple of mugs for our friend Tom’s 60th. I’m not very artistic and took the easy route out by mostly using the writing pens. As I was finished well within our time slot, I also decorated a spoon rest as an anniversary present.

Was quite pleased with the social distancing in place and the efforts the girls made to keep things cleaned after each group of customers.

Headed over to the shopping centre to pick up something for dinner and again was pleased with one side for entry and the other to exit. If only the customers could follow the directions!! Large number wearing masks but a lot not doing so until they went into the individual shops. I assumed that the rules here in Scotland meant that indoor shopping centres counted as a shop but I could be wrong. We’d picked up a few bits that we needed before Miss PHL suggested we try to go to Cafe Andaluz as she has been eagerly awaiting their reopening. We were lucky that we got a table within 45 minutes so we finished our shopping and headed into town.
The blip was our view from the table. Tasty food and we benefited from the govt scheme and had our bill reduced by £10 each.

Feels odd though To be out in town though it was very wet so very few people around.
