My topsy-turvy life

Electro...comb

Ah the end of another week...except I'm working the weekend too, nuts!
I got to do some proper hands-on work today doing the protein electrophoresis -separating the proteins in blood serum. This is part of the electrophoresis kit, the comb picks up a controlled amount of serum from the sample wells and places it onto a gel before an electric current is run through it -with the help of the copper plate beneath- to separate the proteins. End of lesson.
