Nature Diary.... Lighthearted Fun in the Sun
The news of Blipfoto's Alternative Olympic Games had finally reached the south coast of the United Kingdom where spectators where hopeful that the cows would put on a splendid show racing down the entire length of the allocated field, which the farmer and his tractor had so carefully prepared a few days previously. But spectators were in for a disappointment as no amount of cowbell ringing or of people shouting in harmony “Moo! Moo!” and “Come on Buttercup” would encourage the cows to run as they just munched and meandered past.
But… out on the sparkling blue sea some competitive seafarers thought it was their right to join in the AOG and started to compete in earnest. There were a couple of problems though as one crew thought it was a fishing competition and the other two competitors spent most of the time arguing about which direction they were supposed to be sailing in. The judge racing towards them in the little speedboat saw them bickering and instead of giving them directions just sped on by, enjoying his own ride and forgetting all about his duty. And who could blame him?
In the end the real winners were the spectators who'd had a wonderful day out, had cheered loudly at everything and everyone, and had basked gleefully in the warm summer sunshine before making their way happily and safely home.
