Byrd

Heard some sad news today via the guys at Underground Solu'shn that jazz musician Donald Byrd had died. I've bought a few of his albums over the years and really enjoyed his music whenever it's cropped up on many of the Blue Note compilations that I've heard. I really love my 60s and 70s jazz and many of the artists that I greatly admire are long gone, but there's still a few left with us, for the time being...

Anyway, cut to the chase, here's one of my favourite Donald Byrd tracks.

Photographically, I had a little window of opportunity late afternoon to go for a wander and so it was that I found myself in very familiar territory where I took a whole bunch of pictures with the old manual 50mm lens.
