The Performer

Our three and a half-year-old granddaughter loves to put on performances.  We are not sure where she got this but after dinner she asks to be "introduced" and then proceeds to dance around and sing.  Although her language skills are very good, neither we nor her parents can quite understand the words to her song.  This was taken during her performance after dinner tonight before they were to hit the road to go home.

Just to give you a little more flavor for this performance, I have loaded a couple of other images in extra. It should make you smile. At one point she asked her grandfather ("GrayPa") to perform with her, but she stipulated he had to sing a different song and so he did.  It was all very funny.

It has been a wonderful week and we are sorry to see them go.  As the cases in NYC are very very low, they are starting to think about putting her in preschool for part of the day, perhaps in September. If so, they will all require a 2-week quarantine before we can see them again.   My son has assured me that no matter what they decide now, they will come for Thanksgiving and will take her out of school for two weeks before.  Something to look forward to.
