Fartnarkled Maples

First off - many thanks to everyone who visited my journal  on Saturday for my blip birthday - such great positive comments - I was quite touched by what  you had taken the trouble to write, particularly about my journal as a whole.

On Sunday, we had another celebration,  our neighbour Graham's birthday. We had our socially distant street meet up* in his garden,  with pink fizz and a cake Gill had made.  Graham's wife Sue sadly died last summer but on hearing her diagnosis of terminal cancer she promptly wrote out a 'bucket  list' and celebrated ticking the things off with a glass of pink fizz, so it was good to be able to remember her too.

* we are fortunate to live in a quiet cul de sac, with a couple of large gardens, so staying well apart but still able to hear each other is not difficult.

As I didn't think a group photo was possible with social distancing I had a hunt around our garden beforehand, and settled on this section of one of the Japanese Maples which I have partially kaleidoscoped just as a PS exercise for myself.
