Trekking about
This morning we met up with some of Ann's friends and went for a walk in the grounds of Lauriston Castle and then down to Cramond. I had ever such a nice time because I met Mhari who is Catriona's 11 year old daughter. Mhari is desperate for a dog and she thought I was the nicest little collie ever. She walked me on my lead, she played with me and she threw sticks for me. I really, really, liked Mhari and Catriona's son, Andrew, was pretty nice too. I think any dog would be lucky to have Mhari and Andrew as an owner.
They've been thinking about getting a dog for a while but fortunately weren't silly enough to get one during lock down have been told there's a two year waiting list for the breed they want. However just before we went out this morning Ann read an article written by the 'Dogs Trust' that said they were expecting to see an increase of 40,000 dogs being abandoned in the next year. That's just awful. You can read about it here.
We walked for about two and a half hours and that made me tired so when I got home I snoozed all afternoon. Ann had a little snooze too. And then I only had a short walk later on, but that was OK because I'm still a bit sleepy.
Oh and a little plea for help........................
Ann still wants to walk the 'Fife Coast Path' with me, but logistically it's actually proving quite difficult to organise. So far we've only managed to walk from North Queensferry to East Wemyss so still have more than 100 miles to go. Unfortunately most of Ann's friends don't really do walking. Well, not long distance walking. If any of you lovely BLIPPERS would like to walk with us (probably about 10 – 12 miles at a time) or if you live in Fife and could help us out by driving us to the start of a walk or pick us up at the end of a walk and take us back to our car we'd really appreciate it. The next section we want to do is East Wemyss to Lower Largo or possibly even Elie?!
And here we are......................... Sunday evening again. This year just seems to be passing us by. Two hours of 'Downton' on the TV later and then it will be time for bed!!!
PS - This photo posted sideways, as did our photo on 24th July but thanks to all you clever BLIPPERS advice, we cropped it a teeny, weeny bit and hey presto, it's now the correct way up. Thank you. xx
PPS - The location on the map also seems to be back too??!!
