Sausages @ 7:30

Well today was different - alarm set for 4:30 (although I was up before that) we left home at 5:15 and headed for the coast at Bridlington to meet up with our daughter, SIL and granddaughters.

The place was deserted at 7 a.m. (see extra - just a couple of photographers and some dog walkers) - and by 7:30 the sausages were sizzling in the pan - cooked the night before and just reheated and browned on site. We’d taken flasks of coffee with us - had with a sausage bap - what a start to the day!

The weather was fabulous and the girls had great fun playing in the sand and paddling in the sea.

By midday the crowds were beginning to fill the beach - but we had planned to leave by then anyway to avoid social distancing issues! On the way home we stopped for lunch near York.

Back home by 3 p.m. ready for a nap, but still have lots of steps to walk yet!
