Bug Safari
I was getting fed up today, no blip photo done by mid afternoon and a mountain of fabric in front of me to stack and pack... so I downed tools and I went out ... as soon as I got my boots and camera bag out the dog thought it was walk time...but it was way too hot for him.
I strapped on the macro lens and I wandered across the field behind our house. There were hundreds of butterflies and bees around.
The peacocks were probably the most numerous and I also saw plenty of the painted ladies (see extra). I also found a ladybird on some ragwort (see second extra).
The biggest problem was the wind which was blowing everything around. Having no IS on the lens also made for challenging conditions.
