Old Shambles

This is Old Shambles, once home to Kendal's butchers but now a rather pleasant yard tucked away behind the shops on Highgate. 

I had a quick errand to perform in Kendal, this morning, so the Minx came along to keep me company and we parked up at Booths and walked through Wainwright's Yard.

Indulgent of my dislike of going back the way I've come, once I'd completed my task she was happy enough to walk back the long way 'round, which took us past the narrow arched entrance to Old Shambles, hence today's photo.
