Day spent in Abbeyleix, Co Laois getting free dog training. Final year dog training students needed guinea pigs for their ‘ managing a dog training class’ assessment . It was very good and Basil behaved very well, he didn’t bark, poo or pee indoors, bite or growl at anyone or anything, unlike some of the others, (we won’t forget you In a hurry , Fluffy)! Basil must have eaten  his body weight in treats, it was positive reinforcement and he got the hang of it very quickly ! 
Stopped of for some shopping , everyone wearing masks in the shops which is very reassuring to see. This old chemists in the Main Street was full of character and I particularly liked that the old signage was left. Above the Horlicks is a ad for safety razors for 5 shillings. Bargain .
