On the edge

Slept ok despite how warm it was......woke after 7, on and off after that. We were downstairs just after 9, hubs got a sore foot....we know what it is, a bit of gout! He's not had any problems for years. So its out with the ibuprofen gel, the ice pack and lots of water is being consumed to flush out his system. Its not got any worse as the day has gone on so thats a good sign.

Olivia has had her cyst removed succesfully this morning, she is back at home now, arm all bandaged and in a sling....Mummy said she was very brave when they put her to sleep, but she said she is,sleep and sad because it hurts a lot...bless her. She was famished though and was soon eating her toast!

We sat in the summerhouse with a coffee mid morning after a walk to get the newspaper. Overcast today, but pleasant enough.....in fact the sun is trying to come out as I type.

We had scrambled eggs on seeded brown toast for lunch, I had tomatoes and mushrooms with mine too. Spent the rest of the afternoon just pottering, decided to make a mushroom risotto, as I have a surplus of mushrooms that need using this evening.
Ive marinated a pork tenderloin to cook on the griddle later to serve with it.....should make a nice change.

About to sit down and watch the FACup Final..... seems very strange without the fans.
Not worried who wins really, but probably prefer Chelsea.

Another birdie blip.....a female chaffinch I think. Pretty looking little birds.......

We have spoken to hubs sis and told them that we cannot visit now next weekend as we had planned to......hopefully it wont be long before we can go though, so frustrating !

Depending on how I feel in the morning, Im thinking about going for a fast walk in ...not planning on running, but see how my back and leg feel.....haven't really felt anything over the last day or two, so fingers crossed!
