Moan, moan, moan!

Honestly, sometimes there's no pleasing my human. Yesterday she was moaning because it was dark & rainy all day. Today she's been moaning because it's been too hot. 28C?!! WOW! When is it ever that hot in Edinburgh?

This morning our friend, Susan (in this BLIP) came round for coffee & a bacon roll. Susan doesn't like sitting in the sun so we stayed indoors. I haven't seen Susan for a very long time. I went a bit crazy when she first came into our house. I licked her feet, I licked her legs, I licked her hands, I licked her arms. I'm a very 'licky' dog but Ann doesn't allow me to lick her so when her friends come round I go into mega licky mode. I have a very long tongue??!!

After Susan left I went to 'Hermitage of Braid' for a walk. It was very, very hot so I was glad that the route Ann had chosen for us went through the woods and then back along the burn. I did lots of paddling cos I was very, very, hot. It was very busy and when we passed by people having picnics I had to go back on my lead because apparently I can't be trusted not to go stealing food??!!

And then........................ highlight of the day...................... I got left 'home alone' while Ann went off to do her first 'meet & greet' in more than four months. And yes; she did take her mask and hand sanitizer with her. And no she didn't do her 'normal' shaking hands thing. Lovely family – mum, dad & 2 teenage girls. They all stood 2m apart while Ann explained stuff to them which took about 5 mins, so she's pretty sure she hasn't put us in danger of Covid-19.

Then she came home, picked me up and off we went to her friend, Fiona's for a couple of glasses of Prosecco in the garden. Obviously only the humans had Prosecco. I had a big bowl of water.

It's now 9pm and it's still really hot. My human isn't really moaning about this weather. She loves it. Apparently we might have to go out and sit on the balcony again.
