Empty day.
About a week ago, we'd booked three nights bed and breakfast in Manchester so that we could have a mini break with our Son, who lives up there. This was for today until Monday.
Because of covid_19 we've already lost two holidays, but thought we'd be safe with this one. Wrong! Late last night, following a government edict, we found out that two different households would not now be allowed under the same roof, so sharing meals, watching a film etc wouldn't be possible at his place. Being cheapskates, our b'n'b was booked on a non refundable basis, so we lost that as well.
Unpacking our bags was strange, never actually having been anywhere. So we're still home with a few unplanned empty days.
Extra 1: the urologists' charter boat was in full flow.
Extra 2: (phone shot.) cookies we'd made to take up to Son, which we'll now have to eat instead. They'll probably count as one of our five a day portions.
