Life's a Beach

We decided late yesterday evening that we needed a day trip and so early this morning, on the recommendation of a friend, we headed off to Ogmore-by-Sea, South Wales. It was the first time we'd been and we shall definitely return. A great, dog-friendly beach and hillside walks with plenty of parking (as long as you get there early) plus toilets and refreshments. We also timed it well with low tide revealing lots of sand :-) 

A few extras too including a late addition of Barry Island as we all agreed to 'pop in' on the way home for an ice cream. That was a mistake as it was absolutely heaving. We chose not to join the mile-long queue for parking and walked it instead. As Gavin and Stacey fans we just had to do it!
