Sally Mair - Loving life

More flowers

Another busy day and EB today. These are the flowers Katy brought me as a thank you when she returned my car last week. They'd had it since March, it is now MOT'd and serviced so ready to go back to them if they still need it.
Another dreich day so I didn't go for a run. I met up with the CEO of the charity I'm a trustee for. Nice to chat and to talk to her face to face. She was appointed during lockdown so we'd only met via Zoom up until now. Couldn't believe the roadworks and diversions in town just now.
News today too that Crewe Road South, where the Western General is, is to be closed between the Orchard Brae roundabout and Carrington Road. All traffic to be diverted up past Waitrose.
Combined with the road works at the other end of Stockbridge, the gas main replacement in the middle and the 'places for people' road narrowing, its going to be an absolute bottleneck for those who have to go there.
Leith Walk is also closed at London Road and there are contra flow traffic lights on Dean Bridge.
I guess it reminds us that the default position should still be stay at home as much as possible.

Keep safe everybody, disappointing but not unexpected news from England this evening.
Looking forward to a hot day tomorrow!!!
