Cancelled holiday destination!

We should have been on holiday in Alderney this week! This is a poster we bought there last year. The Bailiwick of Guernsey - Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney decided to suspend all flights into Alderney until September very early on in the Covid lockdown to protect their islands which had no cases. All flights from Southampton were suspended and very few have been allowed in from Gatwick to Guernsey. This year the only holidaymakers on Alderney will be those from Guernsey or anyone who is prepared to self isolate for two weeks when they get there! However we have rebooked for next August so will look forward to going then, hopefully.

- cycled round the local parks, not busy this morning but the roads around Hampton court were as there are road works and traffic lights
- went to the allotment, lots of sunflowers looking good. Picked more beans and so many courgettes had to distribute to neighbours
- repotted blueberry plants
