Cwm Pennant Slate mine

Another lovely day. We started at Cwm Pennant which is between Caernarfon and Porthmadog to say hi to the husband of my bestie whose ashes are scattered by the lake, then walked up to the old slate mine. Stunning views across the valley. Down back to the pool for lunch before heading to Porthmadog, then Black Rock Sands for a look. It’s a huge beach you can drive onto and park for £5. Not my cup of tea if you arrive later looking at the sea through rows of parked cars, but it seemed very popular!
