They came...we laughed...

and stuffed our faces.

Then stuffed our faces some more.

And when we finished stuffing our faces we paused for five minutes...

And stuffed our faces again.

Oh my!

And how we laughed.  And laughed.  And laughed.  

It's very difficult to have a serious conversation when you revert to being ten years old and every other sentence uttered by any one of the three of us seems riddled with double meaning!

I would give you some examples but I fear you would shake your head and tut at us! :-))))

Afternoon tea went down a treat.  We couldn't manage to eat things from all the sweet plates so we retreated to the Gin Palace and took those plates with us.  Within an hour  we found space :-)

After what seemed like 20 minutes but was actually hours, we headed back indoors to enjoy Gail's amazing mac n cheese.  Actually it's mac n cheese on steroids as it contains 4 different cheeses, leeks, bacon lardons and panko breadcrumbs.  I can honestly say it's the best I've ever tasted.

And then, because we hadn't had enough sweet things, we finished dinner off with Gail's homemade Malteser cheesecake.  OMG!  Pic in extras.
