A hay day....

Our neighbour has sold us some standing hay, which is being rowed and baled up this afternoon - this time into large round bales. So, sometime in the next few days we will be busy getting that hay transported here and into the shed.

We haven't quite produced enough hay ourselves for winter, so we have bought in two truck and trailer loads from North Canterbury. The first truck and trailer load arrived this morning. This photo shows Farmerboy underloading it from the truck into our new shed.

We have a lovely sunny day, although not as hot as we have experienced in the past few weeks. It is 11.25am, and 23 degrees C - just pleasant.

We have a busy (and exciting) weekend ahead of us. I'm milking both Saturday and Sunday (not so exciting!). Blippers Paladian and Rower are arriving tomorrow, and they are coming for a visit on the farm in the afternoon (I'm really looking forward to meeting them!), and then Sunday is youngest son T''s 13th birthday (where o where have the years gone?), blipmeet with a few blippers from around the district as well as Paladian & Rower, and spending sometime with T celebrating his birthday. Bring it on!

Now I'm off to mow the lawns!
