Sidmouth Clock Tower

Today was forecast as being fairly sunny and bright, the best weather day for their visit.  Unfortunately it didn't really live up to the promise.  Although it started bright by the time we reached Sidmouth it started raining and concern was expressed over the lack of extra clothes we had.  Fortunately we had some umbrellas and a few spare jackets.  Our grandson wasn't that concerned as he really enjoyed watching the waves crashing against the boulders as the tide was in.  We walked along the promenade taking layers on and off as the weather changed continually.  Lunch was had in the Byes, a rather nice park with the river running through it.  A nice outing despite the changing weather.

This was followed by a relaxed afternoon and evening meal.
