Pears

Its been rather a wet day and this morning I quickly took a photo of the small pears growing in the tree inner garden.  We spent a fair amount of time indoors given the weather but had a visit from an old school friend of our daughters who lives not far away.  

Our grandson has been concentrating on sitting up today and it was delightful to watch his concentration and efforts at holding his body and head upright.  He was so pleased with himself.  Late afternoon the weather improved and we went down to the beach for a quick walk.  Although it was fairly windy L was quite happy to take in all the views and activities on the beach including fishing, dogs running around, birds and a few children.  They are planning on introducing solid to him when he is around 6 months, ie in a few weeks time as he shows interest in food and is eating well.  In fact he was very interested in the weaning book that they have bought, see extra.
