Snowmelt Plants
Three irises in three days, this time an un-named clone of Iris histrioides. (It might be the plant sold in the trade as Iris histrioides Major.) Another good blue but not as refined as 'Lady Beatrix Stanley' pictured a couple of days ago. This iris is known as a plant that flowers soon after the snow melts in the wild,. It has done just that this year and as in the wild, new snow has fallen while it is in flower. A true snowmelt plant.
