Visiting

It's quite nice that it's the holidays. I must make sure that I make the most of it! I'm not sleeping that well - it's just too muggy at night, and then I wake up cold from having all of the windows open!

It's nice just pottering in the morning and having time to get jobs done without rushing around. I've had the brake pads on my Mini replaced this week, the next job to tackle is my passport photo which I was going to do back in March....I have no plans so it doesn't really matter but I don't like not having one!

This afternoon I popped into Farnham as I needed to get a birthday card for M- it's his 40th next week. He was supposed to be having a big party but that's obviously gone out of the window. I found exactly the one I wanted online, but left it too late to order, so I popped into town to get it.

I also popped into A's shop to say hello. I haven't seen her since February when we met up for coffee, and I wasn't expecting to stay long but ended up going to the upstairs part of the shop and chatting for an hour! It was nice to catch up as there weren't many customer at all, and I wanted to tell her I got a place on Level 4. I had really wanted to be able to give her a copy of the book, but even though it's so close to being finished, it's not in my hands yet.

It was a nice catch-up, and she encouraged me to just go for it, in every sense of the words, as otherwise life and all it has to offer will just pass me by. I'm painfully aware of that....

Came home feeling curious, optimistic and inspired about all things-therapy, so that made me happy. I'm glad our paths crossed as they did.
