A Sunday Moment of Calm

Dear Diary,

The pond lilies are blooming now and they are just beautiful.  The air was alive with blue dragonflies and I waited and waited for one to land on the lily but to no avail.  I will go back and see if I can get a picture of one.  The pond is a lovely place to visit on a hot day and we are back in the oppressive heat and humidity again unfortunately.  Not a day for a lot of outdoor activity.  I will enjoy the porch this morning because by mid-afternoon it is just too hot.
