Wool Away Friday ....

The lorry in first thing to collect the 56 wool sheets from this years clip. 12 less than last year thanks to a lot of broken fleeces on the ewes and selling some of the cull ewes unclipped as the price for the wool didn’t justify the expense of shearing them .
Once the lorry was away we went next door to bring the in calf heifers in to do them with fly repellent then put them in a field nearer to the steading.
Went down the road to check cattle tonight and noticed next door neighbour had started to combing winter barley . And by the time we came back their baler was busy at the straw. Bugger. Harvest envy.
