Portrait Of A Cattail
A few of last year's cattails are still on view in the marsh, even as the new orangey brown one's are starting to show. They are one of the first things I became fascinated with when I began blipping, I get caught up in all the fine detail.
I set the lighter subject against the darkness of the trees in the distance. Unusually, I included sky to balance out the lighter grass in the lower portion of the frame.
Later I tried a panorama of the lake (extra). Low cloud with only blue above, lent itself to a panorama. Light on the underside of the cloud seemed more prominent in real life.
